WHAT TOPICS ARE COVERED ON THE SSAT & HSPT TESTS?
SSAT TOPICS:
- Verbal (Analogies & Vocabulary)
- Reading Comprehension
- Mathematics (2 sections)
- Writing Sample (not included in the scoring, but sent to the schools)
HSPT TOPICS:
- Verbal Skills
- Reading Comprehension
- Quantitative Skills
- Mathematics
- Language Skills
- Short Writing Sample (not part of the HSPT) may be requested
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE SSAT & HSPT TESTS?
SSAT: For test dates, test centers, & registration, visit www.ssat.org.
HSPT: First Saturday in December. You may register and take the test at any Catholic high school, but usually it should be your first choice school.
SCHOOL ACCEPTANCES:
Students who received KTS SSAT and/or HSPT prep have been accepted into the following high schools, often into the honors program, and sometimes with academic scholarships (KTS students have been the top scorers on the HSPT test given at LaSalle Academy, Bishop Hendricken, and Bishop Feehan schools, thereby winning full or very significant scholarships):
